Learn about the four phases of your menstrual cycle. And the self-care practices to follow to align with your energy in each phase.
In this conversation, Shilpa and I have discussed:
- The naturally flowing phases of the menstrual cycle
- Connection between the lunar cycle and menstrual cycle
- Foods to consume during each phase
- Suitable exercise routines
- Journaling and other beneficial activities
- Self-care practices
- Tuning in to your body, mind and soul to know what’s right for you
- And much more
For a while now, I’ve been wanting to talk about menstrual cycle phases on the podcast. The Universe always has its beautiful way of making things fall into place.
A few weeks ago, I saw Shilpa had posted on her instagram profile that she’d be doing a series about the connection between the menstrual cycle and lunar cycle. I immediately reached out to her and invited her to come on to my podcast to have a conversation about the topic.
This episode is a goldmine of inspiring information! And we’re both very excited to share it with you on the first day of this new moon cycle in August 2020.
No matter which point in the menstrual cycle you’re at right now, listening to this conversation is bound to help and guide you. We promise you’ll be looking at your menstrual phases in a whole new light.
You can also listen to an earlier interview with Shilpa on the show. We discussed Oil-Pulling on that one.

“If you change your perspective about menstrual cycles in general, you start to look forward to your menstrual cycle. You look forward to that alone time and spending time with yourself. Having all the pampering and rest and rejuvenation. Not doing much, doing only your kind of activities, which you really love.”
