Picture me at my own birthday party. I’ve spent two days prepping and cooking a fabulous meal. I’ve invited a large group of friends home to celebrate. Feeding everyone vegan food and seeing their faces light up is the best birthday gift ever!
I imagined that hosting paid vegan dinners would be exactly the same, except for the guests paying me part.
They’d register and arrive. I’d cook and pamper them. Then sit back and allow the praises to wash over me.
Pop-up meals would’ve been a sensible way to begin, but I started running a vegan restaurant instead. It was not as easy as I’d imagined. hahaha
But a key thing the restaurant taught me was how to plan, prep, market, and execute (the meal, not the people 😜).
We did plenty of pop-up events within the restaurant. Some of our own, others in collaboration with up and coming vegan chefs.
Yes, people paid, dined, praised, and left. But also, there were so many things we needed to learn on the job, so many initial hiccups to overcome so things could go smoother and smoother each time.

In this mini class, I’ll teach you how to run your own pop-up vegan meals!
You’ll learn how to:
- Get clear on exactly what kind of meal you’d like to host
- Come up with a tentative menu
- Figure out appropriate pricing
- Differentiate the two ways you can do the meal, and weigh the pros and cons of both
- Promote and spread the word
- Plan well for the event to go off without a single hitch, so you and your guests can enjoy it in a stress free way
